All Captains are advised to familiarise themselves with the rules for contest as set on Pages A9/A10 of the NZCBA manual.
All pairs regardless of their system classification (see systems policy on Pages D3-D8 of the manual) are required complete either a WBF system card (the NZ Bridge full system card is also acceptable) the word version of the convention card editor, both can be found at http://nzbridge.co.nz/tournaments and posting it on the Congress website at www.nzbridgecongress.co.nz.
The first listed team in the draw is the home team and has the choice of opponents in the first round robin.
For the second round robin, team numbers will be their first round finishing places.
The away team in the first round robin will have the choice in the second round robin.
The top two teams after the double round robin will qualify for a 24 board final. The carry over into the final will be 1.5 IMP per VP difference between the two teams. Up to a maximum of 20 IMPs.
There will be a Captains Meeting Thursday 24 September at 9.00am in Seminar Room 3
Session times will be 10.00am, 2.15pm and 8.00pm.
